| Experience why Coastal Living selected this unique inn as one of only 15 for its annual list of favorites. This inn offers a secluded feel in the middle of Mobile Bay's Eastern Shore. This 10-acre property is located in Montrose, between Daphne and Fairhope. The 6,600-sq.ft. house offers six guest bedrooms, four of which are private with private baths, and two that are part of a suite with a shared bath and a private living room. There are also many common areas to relax, inside and outside. Read a book or play some chess in our main living room; or play the piano, work a puzzle or watch a movie in the great room. A large deck provides a variety of comfortable furniture to relax and enjoy the view of the picturesque pond. You can also enjoy the outdoors in the hammock, on the park benches overlooking the pond, or in the gazebo in the shaded entryway. Business travelers will find desks, lamps and DSL connections in all guest rooms, and wireless Internet available on the first floor. Proud to be inspected by and a member of Bed and Breakfast Association of Alabama.

| Meals Served |
| A freshly prepared brunch-style breakfast is served each morning. Guests start with a bowl of mixed fresh fruit, choice of eight juices, coffee, teas or hot chocolate. There is usually a hot egg dish, breakfast meat and hot muffins or biscuits. When biscuits are served, hot chocolate gravy is provided to pour over them for an extra treat. Or you might get to experience our egg nog French toast casserole filled with apples and topped with pecans and syrup. In the afternoons, fresh-baked cookies or brownies await you along with a pitcher of freshly brewed iced tea or warm spiced apple cider. There is also a refrigerator stocked with sodas, bottled water and juice that is available to guests anytime. |

All reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis under the following guidelines:
Half due with the reservation. Balance due on arrival. (If reserving the entire inn, the non-refundable balance is due 30 days in advance or at the time of the reservation, whichever is later.)
Only designated holidays and special-event dates are subject to two-day minimum stays. Otherwise, one-night reservations are welcome. (See the bottom of the discounts page for a list of dates requiring a two-night minimum, as well as for dates charged at the weekend/holiday/special-event rate and having a 14-day cancellation period instead of seven days.)
Credit-card information must be provided for the purpose of processing the deposit, for processing the balance of the stay in case of a cancellation within the cancellation period, and in case of damages during the stay.
Check-in: 4 to 6 p.m., unless making other arrangements. Any arrivals after 8 p.m. (9 p.m. for business travelers), even by prior arrangement, may be assessed a late-arrival fee.
Checkout: 11 a.m.
Because we are a small inn, cancellations or any changes in a reservation must be made at least seven days prior to the scheduled check-in date (three days for business travelers; 14 days for holidays and special-event dates). A minimal cancellation fee per cancelled room will be deducted from any refund, no matter when the reservation is canceled or changed, in order to cover credit card processing expenses.
If the entire inn has been reserved, the reservation is handled the same as a special-event booking, with payment due in full 30 days in advance or at the time the reservation is made if within the 30 days. All charges are non-refundable, even if the room nights are rebooked. This is to emphasize the mutual commitment being made by the reservation guarantor and the inn so that all rooms are being reserved for one group and those dates being removed from availability.
This is a tobacco-free inn. Smoking or use of tobacco products of any kind is only allowed at the guest’s vehicle, with the expectation that all cigarette butts or other tobacco waste will be disposed of properly in the guest’s vehicle and that the waste will be disposed of someplace other than on the inn’s premises. Total disregard for this policy will result in a fee of $500 plus any professional cleaning costs.
Sorry, but guest pets are not allowed. (We have a cat.) If needing help locating a place to board your pet, let us know. We will do our best to locate someplace local that fits your needs. We’ll then put you in contact with the facility for you to confirm the reservation separately from your reservation at the inn.
Children are welcome if 12 years or older; well-behaved younger children will be allowed with special permission only if the entire inn is booked by the same family or group.
Additional policy details are provided with the reservation confirmation or upon prior request. |
