You could say the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is in our backyead! Flowing lava can be viewed 25 miles into the park. A Black Sand Beach is within 20 miles. And an 18-hole golf course is located just two miles away. This is "Pele's country." The weather is cool, often misty, and hauntingly beautiful!
The house was built in 1927 as a summer vacation home for plantation managers and their families. We have lovingly restored many of its old features, added skylights, a few modern conveniences and a cheery gas-burning stove and many more amenities (such as the 5-man Jacuzzi outdoors), to make this a clean, cozy and comfortable home that welcomes visitors.
There are several small village restaurants nearby, an exciting Farmer’s Market every Sunday,(if you can get up early enough), an exotic orchid exporter and a winery all within 2 miles. The National Park has up-to-date information on volcanic activity, guided tours and miles of hiking trails.

| All rooms come with a generous breakfast. Robert loves to cook and he aims to please. We have a varied menu which always start off with fresh coffee, Hawaiian music, and a papaya - filled with bananas and top dressed with the zest of a freshly squeezed lemon. Sound good? It just keeps getting better from there.... |

| Robert and Susan Hughes have been in the B&B business for the past 5 years. Susan teachers at a nearby elementary school but also finds time to answer questions and send out emails. Robert basically runs the B&B and is available 24/7. We live next door and he run the golf cart back and forth. We personally greet all of our guests and also provide much privacy as well as room and space to roam around. |

· All rates are per night, single or double occupancy.
· GET and TAT taxes will be added.
· Check-in time is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Later check-ins may be possible with advance arrangement. Please call.
· Check-out time is 10 a.m.
· We will be happy to store your bags should you arrive early and your room is not ready yet.
· Smoking is permitted only on the outside decks. There is a $250 fee if we smell smoke in your room.
· Deposit & Cancellation Policy: A valid credit card is required to guarantee a booking. If your plans change, notifying us more than 7 days prior to arrival will entitle you to a full refund. If you notify us less than 7 days prior to arrival, you will forfeit your deposit unless we are able to rebook the room.
