Weatherbury Farm Vacation Bed and Breakfast
Kid-friendly Family Farm Vacation Destination
It’s the 21st century and Grandma no longer lives on the family farm. We invite you to stay with us at our family farm and make some down-on-the-farm memories.

Nestled amid the serenity of 100+ acres of rolling farmland in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Weatherbury Farm is a quiet place, far from the maddening crowd, removed from the cares of the world where meadows and gardens, fields and valleys combine to create a perfect setting of tranquil relaxation. Here the gentle amenities of life are still observed.

Families staying for two or more nights receive a packet (filled with coloring & activity books) about farming and every child is invited to earn the “Official Weatherbury Farm Kid” designation. Younger children do chores and complete a picture worksheet; older children have fun doing chores and learning with our "FarmWorkbook."

Children who complete the program are awarded an "Official Weatherbury Farm Kid" certificate.
Children of all ages will enjoy helping Farmer Dale with morning chores. They will delight in getting acquainted with the goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, geese, sheep and cattle. Weatherbury is a working farm. Each day features new experiences.

To stay at Weatherbury Farm is to experience the richness and warmth of a period when welcoming friends or strangers was a cultivated art. The farmhouse, summer kitchen and livery have been restored and redecorated (much by the owners' own hands). Guest rooms, lovingly furnished with an old-fashioned country charm, are warm, and delightfully different. The light, airy rooms feature stenciled walls, fireplaces, paddle fans, family keepsakes, original wood floors and private baths. Each room has a sitting area, with good books. .

After a relaxing evening and peaceful night in the hospitable country rooms, guests at Weatherbury Farm will awaken to a farm-fresh breakfast. Meals are delicious and plentiful. Fare includes family favorites such as apple-cinnamon pancakes, green eggs/no ham, or creamy peach filled French toast accompanied by freshly-ground coffee, tea, juice and fruit.

Country gardens surround the farmhouse providing the perfect setting for relaxing or playing croquet on the lawn. The gorgeous sunsets and breathtakingly beautiful sunrises make a stay here truly a peaceful and relaxing experience. At day's end, one can take in the dance of the fireflies from the porch swing.

There are many activities for the guest who wants to be busy, and those who so desire can be busy doing nothing at all. Guests may relax on the porches, picnic on the grounds, or enjoy the swimming pool on a summer day.

Nature's four seasons provide the backdrop to this farm vacation. Whether guests prefer the greening spring, languid summer afternoons, colorful autumn foliage or winter-white mornings, they will delight in a stay at Weatherbury Farm.
